I started blogging three years ago this May 7th. This is the part where I should say that the time has flown, but it seems like a long time since that first blog post. There have been many stitches (both knit and sewn) since that day. I have made many friends through blogging about my craft life and thankfully have not alienated you all with devotion to certain television shows or my irrational rants. It has also provided my brick and mortar friends with a way to stay on top of my daily life and complaints.
As I my blogiversary approaches, my blog will reach another milestone: my 1000th comment! To reward you all for sticking around (or for having just happened upon my blog today) I want to offer some anniversary prizes. While wool doesn't come along until the 7th anniversary, leather just doesn't cut it around these parts. Instead I offer you the following:
A $10 gift certificate for Zer0 Markers, generously donated by Ms. BMP herself. Aija makes some kick-ass stitch markers and row counters. I bought some for myself just last week. Mine are grey and blue freshwater pearls and are light as a feather. She has many configurations to choose from. I l-o-v-e mine.
A skein of Fearless Fibers Superwash sock yarn in Midnight Passion. I love this yarn, but in assessing my stash I realized that I cannot knit all of the sock yarn that I have so why not share the fibery wealth? Deb does amazing things with dye. This yarn comes in an extra big skein of 550 yards.
A needlecase from Caro of Splityarn. Caro's creations are both pretty and clever (pretty clever!). She recycles books and makes them into cases that can hold your circular needles, DPNs, and crochet hooks. If you don't win this one, you can find them along with stitch markers and mini-wallets at her Etsy site. And soon more needlecases will be available at Scout's Swag.
A $25 gift certificate for Spunky Eclectic's shop. Long ago I was Amy's secret pal and I have followed her site and her shop ever since. Her colorways are amazing and I have spent many an hour drooling over her yarns. Let me live vicariously through you!
Prizes will be given to the 1000th commenter and three other randomly drawn commenters. Aah, but you do have to sing just a little bit for your supper. To enter post a link to your first blog post. If you don't have a blog then post a link to the first blog that you remember reading. Enter by May 6th, I will announce winners on May 7th.
Happy Blogiversary! Its a pleasure to meet you!
Whow knew that I had such great knittser neighbors:) It will be fun meeting you at the grand SF meet up!

Happy 3rd! I love Aija's stitch markers. They were a primary weakness for me during the Stash Bustalong (http://bustalong.blogspot.com).

This is pretty irresistible! Consider me entered!
While not my first-first blog entry, this is my first story, about a real encounter with an Irish mystic who (over many pints of Guinness) saw me in a vision...
Blogging is so interesting, isn't it? Why people blog, about what subjects... joyful celebrations to you.

Congratulations!!! I've been doing a personal blog-thing for over five years now, but I only started a crafty blog recently. My first post is here: http://comfortable-cha.livejournal.com/529.html .

Here is a link to my first Blog Post :-) It's not all that exciting.... Although the pix in the post were taken at a Sheep to Shawl festival in my town last year, so I guess I'm coming up on my one year Bloggiversary!
http://valsrandomrambles.blogspot.com/2006/06/about-time-i-got-one-of-these.html
I'm the world's worst blogger though, I hardly update. But if you check out my more recent entries you'll see a video of my seven year old trying to explain how to knit.
Yeah for contests! And happy three years/1000 comments!

Happy Happy, Nicole! I just celebrated a Blogaversary a few weeks ago... though I can't claim continuity. I took almost a year off! That's bad.
This isn't my first post, but I think it's my http://kyleminor.vox.com/library/post/6a00c11413d92f819d00cd9720ba8e4cd5.html favorite.

Happy anniversary! My blog is only 7 weeks old. I have only 1 comment for my blog. I would have 2 but my mom can't figure out how to make a comment with her dinosaur laptop.

Happy Blogiversary!
I'm not sure, but the first blog I might have read was skinnyrabbit.com

love the podcast--it's really well-edited & one of the first I listen to. I don't blog much--set one up so I could comment non-anonymously on a friend's--and now I mostly use it to share recipes with more than one person. I have a lot of ideas for the blog, but haven't actually done them...just like my knitting, which is why I have accumulated a sizable stash, which is why I love your podcast.
