For no reason that I can understand as I was copying a list of fields from one database down to compare with another set of fields, I thought of the movie Everything is Illuminated and how I liked it better than I liked the book. Blasphemy, huh? What about you? Are there any movies that you liked better than the book?

bridges of madison county- movie was way better
the english patient- movie was better
that's about all I can remember

Shopgirl. I read the book while standing in a DC bookstore. Eh. I liked the movie better, not that it was the best thing ever but it was better than the book.
The Ten Commandments. I thought the book was kind of pretentious.
