Miss Marilyn.
I finished her on Thursday night and have worn her twice (I wonder if the pattern didn't have a woman's name if I would be calling this sweater her). I love, love, love this sweater. It is soft and not itchy and maybe a smidge sexy. Well, as sexy as a chunky knit sweater can be. Here's more of her:
The specs
Pattern: Simply Marilyn by Debbie Bliss
Yarn: Debbie Bliss Super Chunky Cashmerino, #9 Pink (9 balls)
Needles: US 10.5s
Gauge: 12st/17r in 4"
I did make some adjustments to the pattern. One I had to change the raglan shaping because my row gauge was off from the required 19 rows in 4". I was worried about this, but I just kept track of my rows so it matched up when it came time for sewing the pieces together. The major adjustment came in the collar. I could see when I picked up the 92 stitches for the collar that if I didn't do something Marilyn would become a skirt, so I reduced the collar stitches to 81 and knit it in the round. The result slides a little, but I won't be flashing anyone. Unless I want to. This also fulfills one-sixth of one of my New Year's resolutions to finish 6 unfinished projects.
Still on the needles: Wylie's Accordion sweater (fronts and back done) and the Turtleneck Shrug. To fill the unfinished object slot on my roster I am picking up the Retro Rib socks from the Winter 04 IK.

Va-va-voom! Nice job, Nicole -- it must feel amazing to be wrapped in cashmerino. Marilyn is a beauty!

Your Marilyn is gorgeous! I fell in love with this sweater too as soon as I saw the Spring IK last year...I still plan on making it one of these days!
