Okay, I am going to write for 15 minutes before warming up my burrito and settling in to watch my absolute favorite new show of the Fall television season, Lost. Wow. This show is all kinds of good. There’s a little supernatural, lots of mystery, and plenty characters to get killed off. The only downside is that there is a character named Charlie, which makes it confusing when I want to refer to Matthew Fox as Charlie in honor of his character from Party of Five. Other than that, it is perfect. I needed a monster show now that both Buffy and Angel are off the air. (I just looked up the URL for this show and saw that tonight’s episode is called “Tabula Rasa,” which is also the name of an excellent episode of Buffy. Sigh. I am a freaking geek. I know. Shut up.)
I have been gone so long that I don’t know where to start. So I will start with a finished object . . . the Noro Retro Prep, inspired by Rachael and Alison. It has been a long and winding road to this sweater, but I have finally arrived and I have worn this sweater at least a half dozen times already. Here we are in an up close and personal moment (click through to flickr for a couple more shots):

ET asked me if this was really my first sweater and really it is. I have had a few failures for myself and a couple of tank tops for others, but nothing that’s sleeved and that fits and is for me. I finally know what it feels like to be wearing something and have someone ask if I made it and be able to say, YES!
OK, time for Lost. More soon . . .

Excelllllllent Smithers. What a wonderful first sweater! I love it.
